WELCOME TO PIB's ONLINE ACCREDITATION SYSTEM FOR 9th PRAVASI BHARTIYA DIVAS

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES
  • The Media Registration for 9th Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas-2011 to be opened from 18th November to 15th December 2010.
  • Media Accreditation to the PBD-2010 is solely at the discretion of the Media Accreditation Committee.
  • Incomplete application form will not be considered for accreditation.
  • New requests will not be accepted after 15th December 2010.
  • No TA/DA will be given by PIB/MOIA. All the expenses will be borne by Media Person.
  • All the registration for Media accreditation must be made through online. Forms will be filled up online and necessary document & Photographs will be uploaded through online process.
  • For Media Persons based in Delhi/NCR- Editors and Bureau Chiefs are advised to nominate only PIB Accredited Media Persons for the registration. In previous years, it has been very difficult to get the security clearance for Media Persons from the designated agencies from Delhi and neighbouring states.
  • For Media Persons based in India but outside Delhi- only those will be considered for accreditation, who are recommended by the local PIB Branch/Regional office only. Regional/Branch offices of PIB may issue recommendation latter to Media Persons after making necessary enquiries.
  • Freelance Journalists- need to upload copy of PIB Accreditation Card and two Clippings of News reports/stories related to previous PBDs covered by the Journalist.
  • Media Persons based outside India- They should either ā€œJā€ VISA or Recommendation Letter from Indian Mission.
  • Maximum five correspondents and two photographers from each National Daily Newspapers will be given accreditation. Newspapers/periodicals having circulation between 25000 to 75000 will be given accreditation to two correspondents and one photographer each. Newspapers/periodicals having circulation less than 25000 will be given accreditation to one correspondent and one photographer each.
  • Maximum three teams (comprising one correspondent, one cameramen and one technician) from each Electronic Media will be given accreditation.
  • PIB may ask for supporting documents in physical form at any stage if found necessary. Decision of Principal DG in this regard shall be final
Media Persons need to upload following documents for registration:
  • Recent passport size photograph.
  • Recommendation Letter from CEO/ Editor/ Bureau Chief from your organization.
  • Copy of PIB accreditation card and Two Clippings of News reports/stories related to previous PBDs covered by the Journalist (only for freelance Journalists)
  • Recommendation Letter from regional/Branch offices of PIB (only for Media Persons based in India but outside Delhi)
  • A Photocopy of passport and ā€˜J’ VISA or a letter from Indian Embassy (only for Media Persons based outside India).
